OnePlus June 2022 Patch: Any Device With the Update

OnePlus is now rolling out the June 2022 security patch to a small group of devices. Here’s every smartphone that sees the very latest OTA.

OnePlus June 2022 Security Update – What’s New?

In early June, Google added the security patch as the seventh post-Android 12 update to all eligible Pixel devices. It also signaled another Pixel Feature Drop, complete with a slew of features and features that will remain exclusive to Google’s own smartphone line, at least for now. The OTA is based on QPR3 and followed a series of beta updates for the Pixel 4 through the Pixel 6 series.

It’s important to note that OnePlus phones still have the recent Android 12L/12.1 Upgradebut you can follow the Android 13 beta phase for the recent OnePlus 10 Pro† We expect more devices to get access to this early look at the next OS upgrade, but it’s limited in availability at this stage. unlike SamsungOnePlus is not that quick out of the rags when it comes to Android updates. It took until June 15th for the latest security patch to arrive on eligible handsets.

Right now, the June 2022 security update has arrived on a handful of OnePlus devices, but we’re hoping for further expansion in the coming days and weeks.

OnePlus devices with the June 2022 update

OnePlus Nord Series

The OnePlus Nord 2 was the very first device to receive the very latest June 2022 security patch, which is quite impressive considering the Nord 2T has only just been released. OxygenOS A.21 started rolling out on June 15, but there was nothing in the changelog except the latest patch. This is in response to the roll-out of OxygenOS 12 and thus Android 12 for the budget smartphone earlier this month.

As of June 22, the only other device to be updated is the OnePlus Nord CE 2. The “Community Edition” device has been spotted OxygenOS A.13 on the OnePlus forums. Like the Nord 2, the changelog simply adds the June 2022 security patch for OnePlus devices.

Devices still waiting for the June patch

While we’re seeing a very small group of devices getting the latest patch, a larger selection of the OnePlus hardware lineup is still getting updated with older 2022 security patches – with all of the devices listed below. Because patches are often offered bimonthly, some devices may be skipped ahead of a wider rollout of an upcoming patch.

How can I get the June 2022 security patch on my OnePlus device?

OnePlus security update May 2022

OnePlus has a habit of rolling out updates for devices in phases. That means the initial release and subsequent confirmation on the OnePlus forums don’t always indicate when you can grab an OTA file and update/patch your device.

Our advice is to use a third party application to get timely updates. The community run Oxygen Updater allows you to sideload official update .zip files as soon as they are publicly available. While this will ensure you get updates right away, you may need to revert to an older build if you run into issues. This may require a device reset if the issues are major.
